Before I start let me clarify what exactly we mean by ‘Sugar’ in this context.
Carbohydrates when eaten ultimately breaks down into sugar i.e. glycose. If you eat brown rice, white rice, oats, sweet potatoes—everything will ultimately break down into glycose—the blood sugar.

- Give Intermittent Fasting a try: We as humans have evolved by cycling between periods of famine and feast everyday. Food was scarce thousands of years back. There were long peroids of under eating followed by meals where our ancestors used to eat their hearts out….Our genetics haven’t changed much since then….

NEVER EVER LOOK AT THE FRONT. SAVVY MARKETERS WILL USE WORDS LIKE NATURAL, HEALTHY, FORTIFIED TO ATTRACT YOUR ATTENTION.
- Always have a list when grocery shopping. This is indeed a pre-requisite when it comes to cleaning your house and fridge of sugar.
When visisting the super-market, stick to your list when buying groceries, avoid the middle aisles where they keep foods high in sugar and so forth.
And yeah, never go hungry when grocery shopping.
You are bound to pick up unhealthy food items. Once you paid for it, 90% of the time you end up eating it.
