How do you keep yourself disciplined?
Simple Hacks That Help Me Stay Disciplined
Reading self-help books has helped me immensely in staying disciplined. Here are a few things I learned from them and applied in life to ensure I don’t slack off:
- Start Now – Stop waiting for the perfect moment; it doesn’t exist. Just begin.
- Stay Away from Stress – Don’t try to control everything. Focus only on what’s within your control. Avoid overthinking, toxic people, and useless drama. Prioritize sleep, eat well, and exercise.
- Learn to Say No – You can’t always say yes when your friends call you to go out. If you have bigger priorities, say NO without guilt!
- Stay Consistent – Motivation fades, but habits keep you going. Set a routine and stick to it.
- Maintain a Regular Sleep Schedule – I can’t emphasize enough the benefits of a well set circadian rhythm.
- Meditate Daily – A few minutes of silence clears your mind and makes you capable of handling more.
- Don’t Take Failures Personally – When you fail, just logically think about what went wrong, and learn from it. Don’t add emotion to it.
- Eliminate Distractions – I didn’t use any social media while preparing for CAT, and it saved a lot of my time and energy.
- Keep Going – Don’t give up. Don’t let negativity affect you. If you quit, you definitely fail. If you keep going, you still have a chance.
