Are PSU (NTPC, IOCL, ONGC) employees rich?
PSU is not Google/Microsoft😂.
So ,in respect of money answer is NO.
Although a PSU employee does live a good life .
Let me tell you about myself:
- I earn in six figures along with other perks.
- I could afford things I never could before. If I like any shirt, I don’t have to think twice about the price.
- If my sister needs something, I don’t need to check the cost before getting it for her. In fact, just recently, I bought an iPad for my sister, something I wouldn’t have been able to do before.
- I can go on trips with my friends without stressing about the expenses.
- My medical expenses are fully covered, so I don’t have to worry about health bills.
- Insurance? That’s already taken care of.
- I get about ₹20k-30k per month in retirement benefits, and I’ve seen my seniors, who have accumulated crores in their provident funds, now earning ₹15-20 lakh in interest every year, effortlessly.
One of the most important things I’ve gained from working in a PSU is respect.
In terms of money, you can definitely live a luxurious lifestyle if you manage it wisely.
But the real wealth, in my opinion, is in the experience., what make me feel truly rich.
So, while earning crores might be one way to define being “rich,” for me, it’s the balance of financial freedom, peace of mind, and personal growth that makes a PSU job worth it.
