When the Queen walks along and inspects all the soldiers at Trooping the Colour, has she ever pointed out that any of them were a bit shabby (e.g., comment that some shoes could use some more polish or a uniform is a bit creased)?

That is a great question! As far I know, the Queen has not pointed out anything. In fact, back in 1970 or 1971, when she was inspecting the soldiers at Trouping the Colour, one of the soldiers collapsed because of the heat.The Queen did not stop, she did not break her stride:

Inspecting guards is a solemn occasion. The only times I have seen her break protocol (there may be others) was when she was inspecting the Sandhurst Military Academy at the Sovereign Parade and Graduation Parade, both 2006. She had two very good reasons though, can you guess why?

Then there was this different time in 2003 in Windsor Castle. She is not inspecting the guards, but worth mentioning to go with the theme:
