Back in 2004 there was this crazy, somewhat controversial reality show on Fox called "The Swan".
A bunch of women from across the country applied to be contestants.
The majority of them were not happy with their appearance for a variety of reasons.
The contestants were selected. At zero cost to them, they would then have every manner of transformation done on them:
Plastic Surgery
Makeovers
Personal training sessions
Skin care procedures
Dental surgery
You name it - anything under the sun that can improve your appearance, they had it done.
They spent months in hotel rooms unable to see their face either.
In a finale they would be brought to a mirror where they'd see their new appearance.
I'd wager those transformations are pretty shocking?
