If I hear anyone expressing pride in being white, I instantly think of very unpleasant people.

I also think of some very terrible punk rock bands, but that’s mostly because of my general interest in punk rock. Fairly or not, the concept of “white pride” is dominated by white supremacists. That’s the first thing a lot of people will think of when they hear anyone claiming they’re proud to be white.
This doesn’t mean I have an issue with white people celebrating their culture. A lot of white people celebrate their culture in ways that look pretty fun.

If I was to show up at these celebrations of culture, I have little reason to believe the people there wouldn’t make a non-white person like me feel welcome.
If I found myself within range of people celebrating not a specific culture, but “white pride”,
