If Princess Diana was alive, who'd she identify more with, Kate or Meghan?

Princess Diana wouldn’t identify with either of them, though she would be supportive of Catherine. When it comes to Meghan, Diana would have been extremely upset to watch Harry go to America with Meghan. I think that move would have crushed her spirit, and she would have disapproved of the couple just dumping their royal duties and leaving, while insisting on the family helping them to maintain their lavish, luxurious life.

Diana would have enjoyed Catherine very much so. They both have wicked senses of humor, and I think the way Catherine lights up when ever Prince William is around would have made Princess Diana very pleased. She would have wanted both of her sons’ lives to be full of meaning and purpose within the UK, with loving and supportive wives to help them along the way and to share their lives.

Diana would have probably thought the closeness in the Middleton family was a good thing for William to experience, and she would have adored her three grandchildren so much! Can you imagine Diana as a grandmother? She’d be terrific with them all. I think Di would have felt like the monarchy was going to land in capable hands when it comes to Prince William, as she supported him being king from a very young age. Diana even wanted William to supersede Prince Charles and become the next monarch.

I highly doubt Prince Harry would have married Meghan, the divorced American actress, since Diana would have sniffed out that Meg was looking for money and not love. Meghan doesn’t love. She plays games with her men, and Diana would have kept Harry from gulping down all the lies about the royals, his future in the monarchy being diminished and that Meghan needed Harry’s protection, even though they were just hooking up at that point. Diana would have stopped it all.

Having Diana around would have stabilized both men. I think Prince Harry would have been more grounded and less of a self-absorbed man who needed to compete with his older brother. That may have never occurred. If Princess Diana had been tossed aside along with all the other royals, she would have been over to LA to talk sense into that boy-man, without Meghan present. Diana would have moved heaven and earth to get Harry home, where he is happier.

So. Catherine the Duchess of Cambridge would have had a warm and caring relationship with William’s mother, while Meghan would have gotten that cold shoulder from Diana. I don’t think she would have approved of how Meghan came to be in her son’s life, and she would have hated them conniving and planning to leave for Meghan’s old stomping grounds.

Diana treated the monarchy well. She was no saint, but then who is? Diana still had respect for the institution, and it would have been the appalling lack of Harry’s respect that would have addled his mum. But I sincerely think Prince Harry would have turned out to be a much different man, and he would have not fallen prey to Meghan’s tactics. No. Diana would have probably figured out a way to squeeze her out.

That’s my take. Sadly, she’s not here to enjoy her boys turned men. I do think she would have still loved them fiercely and wanted them to have love and happiness in abundance.
