Why am I not gaining weight despite all efforts?

Here we go on a new level of understanding:

If you've failed gaining weight despite of all your efforts says you're skinny. Skinny people don't get weight easily because of

Higher Hormone Sensitivity

Hormones play a significant but often overlooked, role in regulating body weight. For example, individuals with higher leptin sensitivity tend to have an easier time losing weight and controlling cravings. Leptin also known as the “starvation hormone,” is a protein that tells the brain if you have enough energy stored in your fat cells to complete your normal metabolic processes, such as breathing, circulating blood, etc. When leptin levels are above a certain point, the body burns energy at a normal rate, but when below, the body conserves energy and stimulates feelings of hunger. Some people can also be leptin resistant, meaning that the body doesn’t respond accordingly to the brains signals.

Less Sensitivity to Food Cues

There’s a big difference between hunger and appetite. Skinny people do not eat often as of their appetite. They mostly don't feel hunger like those people who are considered born to eat. It's a common scenario too were if you don't eat enough, you won't add any pound of muscle. So go heavy on meals please.

Sleep:

People who are less sleeping tent to stay underweight. If on the puberty of your age you don't take a good sleep of 8 hour, you're going against the law of nature my friend. Puberty time is the time when our body takes a great shift to another level. To grown any pound of muscle, you need to produce enough of growth hormone which mostly occurs when you go through deep sleep. Sleeping would be the first priority to any skinny person to gain weight. Sleep tight and your body will expand.

Food quality:

Choices for food must be on the second priority. Always include a good source of protein and that would include the following:

  • Paneer
  • Tofu
  • Milk
  • Butter
  • Broccoli
  • Eggs
  • Peanut or peanut butter
  • Nuts and seeds

And never forget to include any of these food in your diet daily. Here is list:

  • Curd
  • Milk
  • Papaya (ripe)
  • Carrots
  • Spinach
  • Orange

That would take care of whatever food you'll eat your whole day.

Vitamin D or Sunlight:

This is the most important part too. See my friend, if you really want to produce a huge amount of growth hormone faster then you must include Vitamin D. Vitamin D must not be any form of food. Your real vitamin D must come from sunlight. The more sunlight you take, the more growth hormone you produce overnight. Sunlight activates your pituitary gland and gives a great flow in the blood. The more blood flow you have and the greater supply of vitamins and nutrients will be to your body.

Exercise:

Try to produce any kind of exercise. The best I would suggest is Running. You can include Gym workout too if you like. You can try few listed exercises to expand and flex your muscles to gain weight. The list is here:

  • Squats
  • Lunges
  • Chest press
  • Barbell shoulder press
  • Chin ups
  • Pull ups
  • Forearm exercises
  • Biceps and triceps curls

And if you want to include yoga, it would only be two excercise:

  • Danda yoga
  • Suryanamaskar

That's it guy's, I was once skinny and not anymore. You can try this and lead further. That's for now, have a good day.

Thank you…
