Salute to Medical Staff
I salute to our Medical Staff. Many doctors and Medical staff are getting infected with coronavirus in India because when they treat the corona patient they didn't have a PPE suits which can protect them from coronavirus. But our government dealing with perfectly to providing them PPE.
The biggest concern about COVID-19 is stigma associated with the disease and this scene is not only in the non-medical people but also among medicos. Just to give an example, one of our fellow doctors, was diagnosed with the condition while working as a frontliner. He was isolated, treated and was cured successfully. When he started his normal routine in the campus, his friends stopped calling him for lunch and dinner as they used to do before. Instead they have started telling him once they are done with their meal. The purpose being avoidance of his contact with the utensils in the mess. We don't understand that this not a lifelong disease. It is curable.
Please people, don't be stupid. The government has implemented some safety procedures in the country so that you can isolate yourself. If you fall sick or have emergencies, please come to the hospital. If not please stay at home. I can't go home because if any problems arise, I have to be here in the front line taking care of you.
Plus for all those people who are going out and having fun and posting pictures in IG with captions like #coronabreak #coronacation #coronavacation. Dude. Just stop. Take this seriously. Stay home. Wash your hands. Maintain a safe distance. Wipe the surfaces on your home. Just stay safe. Don't be stupid. You just can't challenge nature.
