Poor EVM! Takes the blame for the incompetence of the Congress and the opposition.

Of course, the fact EVMs cannot be hacked is another reason to discredit it. After all, in the good old days, ballot boxes could be easily captured to ensure a win.

I'm not a fan of politics but here's a fact:

EVMs are embedded systems.

Embedded systems can be configured and deployed easily with modified embedded code, making it an easier target to manipulate data in large numbers.

Meanwhile ballot boxes are harder to change...

But,before discrediting the EVMs, here's another fact too:

Decommissioning EVMs and switching to ballot boxes would be time-consuming.

So yeah there's two sides to an argument..

Both EVMs and ballot boxes aren't foolproof,but the intensity of cheating is lesser in slower ballots.
