Shimla, September 16, 2026: Good news for Shimla residents! The Shimla Municipal Corporation is preparing to launch the Ghar Dwar Jan Suvidha App from October 2026.

The app will allow residents to connect with local service providers for around 41 services, including:

🔧 Plumber & Electrician
🪚 Carpenter & Painter
🚗 Mechanic, Driver & Taxi
💇 Beautician
👨‍🍳 Cook & Tiffin Service
🌳 Gardener & Domestic Helper
📺 TV, Fridge & Washing Machine Repair
🔨 Welder, Tailor and more

⭐ Worker Ratings

Users will be able to see ratings of registered workers and provide feedback after receiving a service.

👷 Free Registration for Workers

Local skilled workers can register free of cost until September 30, 2026 through the MC Shimla IT Cell or their ward office.

Documents required: Aadhaar card, passport-size photograph and bank passbook copy.
