What made Sushil Kumar take such an inhuman step?
The entire episode has shocked the nation and made people curious to know the exact reason behind the superstar wrestler's involvement in the murder case. Sushil Kumar, the 2-time Olympic medalist's, alleged relation with gangsters has also garnered a lot of attention.
Yes you heard it right. Sushil Kumar is the most respected and successful wrestler in the history of Indian wrestling world. He has many national and international medals and awards under his name including commonwealth, olympic medals and world titles.
He belongs from a very humble background and started his journey from chhatrasal stadium at the age of 14. No doubt he was a very hard worker and dedicated for wrestling. He achieved whatever he dreamt for but unfortunately committed an inhuman crime. He is charged for kidnapping and murder of a wrestler Sagar Rana.
According to news sources, the reason behind the murder is involvement of Gangs.
After winning his first Olympic medal, he came in contact of gangsters. He came close to gangster Kala Jathedi and even attended his brother's marriage. He always wanted to take control of Chhatrasaal stadium after his father's in-law retirement and with the help of these gangsters he succeeded and took control of the stadium. After winning medals in Olympic, commonwealth and world titles he already had huge fame and his closeness with many politicians increased. He became powerful mafia who started arranging settlement for disputed land and started extortion with the help of gangsters.
Here the twist came into his life with his model town flat which according to news was disputed property that sushil took under his possession. Sushil was very impressed with Sagar Rana and were very close. Sushil offered Sagar to live in that flat for taking care of it. During his stay, gangsters used to visit that flat often and became good friends of Sagar.
During this time, Sushil came close to bawaniya gang. According to news, there is an old friction going between kala jathedi's gang and bawaniya gang. When sushil came to know that kala's member are visiting his flat which he didn't like and asked Sagar to vacate his flat which he denied and this made Sushil take this inhuman step. He kidnapped Sagar and his friends on gun points with more than his 10 associates and took them to chhatrasal stadium where he beat them brutally with sticks and sharp weapon. He even asked one of his associates to shoot a video of the incident which he could later use for spreading his mafia image.
While committing this inhuman crime he didn't even think of his image, career and respect which he definitely not deserve now.
Olympian Sushil Kumar goes absconding after Murder case of a Junior Nation Champion, Delhi Police issues Lookout Notice.
Delhi Police has issued a lookout notice against Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar, who has been absconding since 4 May after a wrestler died in a brawl at Chhatrasal Stadium.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, North West told IANS, “A Look our notice has been issued against Kumar.”
He said that several teams have been formed to trace out alleged persons including Kumar. He further said that police are probing the role of Kumar as allegations have been made against him.
Earlier, the police said they have a video footage in which Kumar and others can be seen assaulting wrestler Sagar Dhankad and his friends Sonu and Amit Kumar.
According to senior police officials, Kumar has been absconding after a 23-year-old ex-junior national champion Sagar Kumar was beaten to death during a brawl at Chhatrasal Stadium. Police registered a case of murder and multiple teams of Delhi Police are raiding areas in Haryana, Uttarakhand and Delhi-NCR.
Sagar, son of a Delhi Police constable, passed away in a clash between two groups on the premises of the Chhatrasal stadium situated in northwest Delhi on late Tuesday night on 4 May.
The Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) sayd they are concerned that the good reputation built over the years with stupendous international performances, many of them given by Sushil himself, has been ruined.
