Is there a fictional character you loved as a child, yet grew to hate as an adult?

Believe it or not, I totally can not stand Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones.

Daenerys began a devastated, guileless, panicked young lady who had carried on with her entire life estranged abroad, and who was sold by her oppressive more established sibling into a union with a man double her age, who over and again assaulted her. Obviously I was pulling for her. Daenerys endure and developed further, incubated three winged serpents, obtained a military, and proceeded to overcome urban communities and free slaves. Presently she's coming to Westeros to take the Iron Throne from the detestable Lannisters. She's a female hero in a man's reality. She has been hailed as a women's activist symbol and is perhaps the most mainstream characters of the arrangement.
I developed to like her less and less with each season. Presently I can't stand her.

It's difficult to pinpoint precisely what it is that disturbs me about Daenerys, yet I think my greatest issue is the lip service. She needs to be a decent ruler for the average citizens. Yet, when you look past Daenerys' committed fan following and conspicuous picture (see: her winged serpents) her real capacities and strategies as a ruler are problematic, best case scenario, and absolutely damaging even from a pessimistic standpoint.

Her most exceedingly awful offense is that she doesn't concede equivalent equity to her subjects. After her success of Meereen, she had 163 men from the city's decision class (the Masters) freely killed. The vast majority of them were slave brokers, yet none were given a preliminary. We know there was at any rate one guiltless man among them (Hizdahr zo Loraq's dad) however I believe it's protected to expect there were more. At the point when Daenerys sends the Second Sons to retake Yunkai, she arranges them to execute each and every Master around there and it's simply because of Jorah's alerts that she alters her perspective.

Daenerys endeavors to lead Meereen in spite of having no aim of remaining there, as her genuine objective is Westeros. She basically utilizes a whole city to rehearse at administering, and quit worrying about that Meereen is an immensely better place from Westeros with various traditions and customs, which Daenerys shows almost no respect for (sentencing and declining to return the battling pits, needing to boycott the conventional garments worn by the Meereenese). The city drops into disorder after Daenerys' triumph on the grounds that after she cancels the slave exchange, she doesn't execute any sort of monetary framework to supplant it. A decent pioneer should help and guide their kin, yet in spite of her best aims, Daenerys is fruitless. Meaning well is no reason for inadequacy. In the show, it's gratitude to Tyrion's activities while he administers in her nonattendance that Meereen returns to some kind of sane normality.

In Westeros, Daenerys claims that she will be a preferable and kinder leader over her opponents, however turns to viciousness immediately when things don't turn out well for her. After her first significant fight, she asks that the survivors from the adversary side curve the knee to her, and when they falter, she compromises them with her mythical serpent. At the point when Randyll and Dickon Tarly actually decline to twist the knee to her, Daenerys has them consumed alive. She doesn't send them to the Wall or detain them or even award them a speedy and stately execution like a decapitation. She consumes them alive. With Daenerys, it's basically "go along with me or pass on". She rules and overcomes through dread and slaughters any individual who goes against her, which is by and large what her foe Cersei Lannister does, and her own dad the Mad King before that. She rushes to turn on Tyrion and blame him for selling out her, showing precisely the same sort of distrustfulness that meant her dad's plummet into franticness.

It isn't so much that I don't think Daenerys is boss and an entrancing character. She's a lady who kicks ass while being customarily ladylike, which is something we need a greater amount of. It's intriguing to watch her endeavoring to offset her well meaning goals with her ability for remorselessness and hunger for power. In any case, I quit pulling for her some time in the past and will be completely baffled in the event that she winds up on the Iron Throne.

Monica Geller

Recall her in the initial not many seasons? She was overall quite dependable. She was mindful and kind. She got Rachel, assisted her with remaining on her own feet. She would have morning meals and suppers for everybody without whining. She was the gathering's indisputable favorite, and everybody would think often profoundly about who she went out with. She was brilliant. She dated a man like Dr. Richard, which showed us how incredibly develop she was. She was still OCD about tidiness and everything, except it she monitored it. She would infrequently whine about Rachel not assisting with anything. She was a young lady who was not difficult to experience passionate feelings for. The shrewd, wonderful and complex Monica.

… quick forward to prepare 6

She has some way or another, gradually transformed into this neurotic. She's gotten amazingly cutthroat, incredibly over the top. She has become an insane, controlling sweetheart with Chandler. She has begun to continually control him, overwhelm him (not positively), and surprisingly weaken him on occasion. In any case, this isn't the Monica Geller we were acquainted with in Season 1. How in seven hells did she change to such an extent? That is to say, you should simply watch a pre-season-5-scene and afterward a post-season-5-scene and you see a significant improvement in her.

I went from being infatuated with her to being totally winced out by her. Probably the best character on Friends was transformed into one of their most noticeably terrible.

Truth be told, I totally can not stand Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones.

She basically utilizes a whole city to rehearse at administering, and quit worrying about that Meereen is an unfathomably better place from Westeros with various traditions and customs, which Daenerys shows next to zero respect for (sentencing and declining to resume the battling pits, needing to boycott the customary garments worn by the Meereenese). The city slides into confusion after Daenerys' victory in light of the fact that after she annuls the slave exchange, she doesn't carry out any sort of monetary framework to supplant it.
