OnePlus 9 series and OnePlus Watch said to launch in March

OnePlus is likely to launch the latest OnePlus 9 series smartphones in mid-march along with their first smartwatch. Here are the details we know so far:

OnePlus has been rumoured to launch its next-generation OnePlus 9 series in March. Though we are yet to hear official developments, a notable tipster has said the Chinese tech company would launch as many as four products the next month. The tipster adds that alongside the regular OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro, the company will unveil the OnePlus 9R and highly anticipated OnePlus Watch. The exact launch date remains unclear at the moment. Earlier, the OnePlus 9R was also rumoured to be called OnePlus 9e or OnePlus 9 Lite.

Details about the OnePlus Watch remains scarce, though it may run on Google’s WearOS. Earlier in January, two OnePlus Watch models received certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), indicating their launch in India. It could possibly mean two variants of the same smartwatch or two different models altogether. The second model is rumoured to be called OnePlus Watch RX.

The latest leak comes from tipster Ishan Agarwal in collaboration with 91Mobiles. Other details regarding the OnePlus 9 series and OnePlus Watch remains unclear. The upcoming OnePlus smartphones have been a part of the rumour mill for quite some time, and they are all expected to pack Qualcomm Snapdragon chips. The regular OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro are said to come with the flagship Snapdragon 888 SoC and the toned-down OnePlus 9R (or OnePlus 9E) will reportedly come with Snapdragon 690 SoC and feature a 6.5-inch display with 90Hz refresh rate. Previously, it was also rumoured to pack Snapdragon 870 SoC.
