Why is the Star Wars sequel trilogy hated so much?

Have you ever wondered what the point of the Sequel trilogy was?

I mean, the OT told you a story of someone coming of age, standing up for what was right in the effort of tearing down an oppressive regime of government, and most importantly, it teaches you that it's never too late to do what's right no matter how wrong you were.

The PT told a story of the end of an age, the death of democracy, and the rise of tyranny as well as how even the best of us can fall victim to our worst demons.

The ST told you what? That nothing matters and that everything is doomed to fail and will repeat itself no matter how hard you try to do better? Essentially, the Sequels are a beat for beat repeat of both the OT and the PT told in a single disjointed, messy trilogy of films.

Somehow democracy and the Jedi fall apart once again because of reasons... and a new rebellion is born out of the ashes once more to thwart a new oppressive regime in the same manner they did thirty years ago. And guess what this all results in? We land back in square one, in which nothing has changed apart from the fact that all our beloved heroes are torn down and dead now.

So yeah, in short it's overall just bad and offensively repetitive storytelling that basically tears everything down just too build it back up again for the sake of making a few quick bucks.
