Sara Ali Khan is just two films old presently, with her third and fourth ones coming out this year. While, she has certainly been received well by audiences and critics, she is definitely not Alia Bhatt’s contemporary by any means. Alia Bhatt is now one of the top actresses in Bollywood - after a somewhat tepid reception in SOTY, she’s gone from strength to strength. Starting off from astounding performances in movies like Highway, Udta Punjab, Raazi, Gully Boy, etc, she’s amply demonstrated that she is an amazing actress, and has several years of seniority over Sara Ali.
So, I think it is a bit ludicrous to suggest that Sara Ali Khan is somehow going to sweep Alia Bhatt away from Bollywood. While, Sara Ali Khan is definitely going to do well in Bollywood, it’s not like Alia Bhatt is going to be unable to stand against her. It is entirely possible that they both will thrive and succeed in their own spaces, in Bollywood. But I think it is nigh impossible that Sara Ali Khan will somehow force out Alia Bhatt from her successful space.
I do believe that Alia Bhatt is here to stay, and thrive. And, I think Sara Ali Khan too ought to have a bright future in Bollywood. But neither is going to force out the other from the industry.
