Why did Clint receive the Soul Stone, even though he didn't sacrifice a loved one?

He did. Natasha and Clint were very close, with a brother-sister bond. They each tried to save the other, with Black Widow succeeding in the end.

Now, I see a lot of people saying that Clint shouldn’t have gotten the Soul Stone because technically Nat committed suicide. That’s not actually true.

Let’s break it down to see what happened:

The pair fight for death

and Hawkeye’s about to jump

…when Black Widow saves him and hooks him with the cable line thing

and somehow we make it to Hawkeye holding Natasha’s arm. So that the only way for her to die is for Clint to let go.

which technically means Clint is the one that has to “kill” her. Nat tells Clint to “let me go” and say that “it’s okay”. She then pushes off from the wall.

And Clint loses grasp and lets go of Nat’s hand.

And so it wasn't really a suicide. Clint had to let go. Yeah, I know, technically it was Nat that basically forced him cuz of the weight and energy and stuff when she pushed off the wall, but it doesn’t count. It had to be Clint’s hand that let go, and if he does, Nat dies and he gets the Soul Stone. Which is what happens.

Clint gets the Soul Stone.

Nat’s death impacted me the most. They don’t even hold a proper funeral for her! Iron Man gets a funeral but Nat doesn’t. And after all that she and Cap been through in Winter Soldier, Steve barely sheds a freakin' tear.

Edit 2: Holy moly! This is my first answer to have 1K upvotes!!! Thanks for the upvotes guys :D

Edit 3: Here’s a meme I found, and it’s ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ true lol:
