How did you level up your dating game?

Leveling up in a video game comes with repetition.

Practice having conversations via text, via phone, and in person.

Go on lots of dates.

Make mistakes and learn from them.

Often, in order to beat a level, you must first fail at beating a level, learning what to do is about learning what not to do.

This is dating 101. Remember dating 101.

Leveling up involves acquiring new skills:

Have a passion or skill that you have developed. Be open to talking about that skill. It is attractive to women. Women like a man who is passionate about something.

Repetition brings new skills:

You’ll learn to be comfortable around women. Your body language will relax.

You’ll learn the best places to go on dates.

You’ll get used to having a conversation with women. You’ll develop a better flow.

If you’ve never had a female friend or been on a date in years, expect to be an “n00b”. Being an n00b is ok. We’ve all been n00bs. Being a n00b is, by definition, temporary.

You need to earn new gear to level up, to power up your chances of succeeding:

Get new weapons at your disposal (get into shape, lose weight).

Buy new armor (buy new shoes, nicer clothes that fit, that highlight your better features)

Wearing clothes that fit is the equivalent grants an Aura of Confidence.

Beating a level often requires defeating an end boss.

Don’t think of women as end bosses.

Think of women as people, like other human beings with the same desires, fears, and bodily functions as you.

The latter point, while gross, can help bring everyone back down to Earth about our mystified impression of each other.

Leveling requires going on quests. Sometimes those quests involve overcoming lots of fear and obstacles. But there’s a reason most games involve quests grant you XP to advance.

XP = experience. In games, and in life, experience brings many rewards and skills.

Sometimes you’ll get low HP(hitpoints/life).

You’ll need to recharge, recollect, gather yourself after taking a loss.

There is no “Game Over” in dating, but make no mistake, much of dating is a game.

There is a learning curve. You can get better at it. You can be a winner or a loser. But you can always play again. And you can eventually go from N00b to l33t (elite).

In games, we see the points accumulating, we see the progress and it pushes us to keep reaching each new milestone. The process has been gamified.

Gamify your dating life. Track your own progress. Gain experience. Level up. Meet the person you’ve been looking for.
