Has Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom ever had an arrogant "Don't you know who I am?" moment with a member of the public?

Quite the opposite, actually.

There's a story that the Queen was out for a walk near Balmoral with a security officer, head covered in a shawl, when a tourist happened upon them and said "I've heard the Queen has a home around here. Have you ever seen her?"

To which the Queen replied, indicating her security officer, "I believe he has".
