• The Dark Knight (2008) - IMDb. Katie Holmes was in Batman Begins, but was replaced with Maggie Gyllenhaal.

• The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008) - IMDb. Rachel Weisz was in the first two movies, but she was replaced by Maria Bello.

• Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) - IMDb. Michael Gambon took over the role of Dumbledore after Richard Harris passed away.

• Queen of the Damned (2002) - IMDb. This is more of a soft reboot I think, almost a decade went by before this movie was made. Stuart Townsend took over from Tom Cruise.

• Batman movies. Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer and George Clooney, played the lead role before the Christian Bale reboot.

• Hannibal (2001) - IMDb. Julianne Moore took over from Jodie Foster in this sequel.

• The Avengers (2012) - IMDb. Mark Ruffalo played the Incredible Hulk in this movie, taking over from Edward Norton, who took over from Eric Bana in the reboot.

There are a few more that come to mind, but they were not lead characters.
