“Do you believe in good luck and bad luck?”
Yes indeed I truly believe in in Good luck and bad luck, let me explain. Yes, life is full of uncertertainities. Anything could happen to anyone at any time. If something bad happens it's called badluck. If something good happens it's called good luck and good luck is found by accepting challenges and opportunities. If you avoid opportunities , bad luck will control you.
Good luck is all about the right person, with the right resources, right people and right opportunity combined with right attitude. Everything has to “right” about the scenario, people and resources!
Bad luck is exactly the other side - wrong attitude mixed with wrong strategy, wrong resources and totally wrong people! “A tree all of sudden fell on a person’s foot and his leg fractured; doctor said his leg is completely damaged and would take around 3 months to recover” – So now this person is unlucky? If you think so condier below story –
There was a good guy and bad guy. Both were going through forest to visit a friend’s house. Bad guy has done all sorts of cheating, mischievous thing throughout his life was very self-oriented person; whereas our good guy is honest, disciplined, gentleman.
While they were going all of sudden Bad guy found a bag full of diamonds. He himself being goldsmith knew that it is real. There was no limit to his happiness and he started telling good guy that see what I got, despite being bad I got this and now my life is set and there a tree all of sudden fell on a good guy’s foot and his leg fractured badly. Somehow he got admitted and our bad guy one day came to meet him in hospital. As he entered the room, a doctor said that it would take around 3 months to recover as it is completely damaged. One more friend of his was accompanying him; once doctor moved out his friend said that he possess some radical notion by which he can know the past and future of any person. Bad guy was pretty much interested in knowing his own and good guy’s past and future as he wanted to know why despite being bad he was rewarded with diamond and he being so good was doomed to hospital?
What he heard that day made him immensely sad and good guy a happier than he was before. All he said is “I could see you could have got 3 full bag of diamond but due to your bad conducting you got only 1 bag whereas my friend was doomed to get hurt on head and 2 years of severe pain and hospitalization but due to his good conducting he is doomed to only 3 months with only one broken leg”
So now who is lucky who is unlucky? If we know the higher truth our definition would change and no point in judging other and feeling sad or happy about it. If we can develop such perspective/outlook towards life, our probability of getting'lucky' could be nearly 100% no matter whatever happens to our life.
I notice that when you’re feeling sorry for yourself, improbable bad things tend to happen more often, and when you’re feeling optimistic and making an effort to get things done and stay positive, unexpected good things tend to happen. I think luck can be cultivated by your attitude, and good luck is a product of being available to new opportunities and having the positive outlook required to see them when they arise.
Indeed there are situations where you don't need all this - winning a lottery or meeting someone who just hands over a fortune! All the same good luck just provides the right break, it requires the skill-set to ensure the results of the good luck is extended into the future. Very few people have it and hence we see one Bill Gates, one Steve Jobs, one Rockefeller, one Ambani, one insititution of Tatas, etc.
