10. She Was A Natural Blonde:
For as long as people could probably remember, Angelina Jolie always had dark hair. It suits her well and people never really questioned if it was natural or not. Well, apparently it isn't. Jolie is actually a natural dark blonde. You can tell by her baby photos alongside her mother that Jolie had light blonde hair.
In many films and everyday red carpet photos, Jolie rocked pitch-black hair. Over the years, Jolie has opted for a more natural light brown with some light blonde accents and on occasion a darker chocolate brown color.

If your just a fan of watching Angelina Jolie films, you may not have realized who her father is. Angelina Jolie is the daughter of actor Jon Voight. Shocking right? There is a reason why people never put two and two together. Her full name is Angelina Jolie Voight.
8. She Has A Pilots License:
Not only does Jolie have a knife collection, perform her own stunts and reptiles as pets, but she can also fly planes. That's right, she has a pilot's license. Since 2004, Jolie has been able to pilot her own aircraft.
On occasion, she will fly her single-engine Cirrus SR22. Having a pilot's license can come in handy. Running late to a premiere? Take the plane. In reality, her pilot's license was to help in her philanthropy work. She aimed to use it to ferry aid workers and deliver food around the world.
7. She Was A Rebellious Teen:
When Jolie was a teenager she was a bit of a handful. By the age of fourteen, Jolie already fancied herself an adult who wanted to live by her own rules. Her mother, Marcia Lynne Bertrand, became worried that she will turn to drugs. At fourteen, Jolie was in a serious relationship with her then-boyfriend, considered a "punk outsider" in school and went out moshing, and even experimented with knife play.
In an effort to stop her daughter from going to parties, her mother made a deal with Jolie, allowing her to live with her boyfriend in Jolie's room. The catch was that her mother lived in the room next door.
6. Performed Her Own Stunts In Lara Croft:
We all remember watching Angelina Jolie in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and falling in love with her look and attitude in the film. It made countless viewers want to become a Gun-fielding, kick tomb raider. Not to mention it was impressive that she could do all the insane stunts in a tank top and pants.
5. She Struggled With Self Harm And Drugs:
Jolie has been open with her struggles as a teen with drugs and self-harm. Jolie was ridiculed in high school for her punk behavior and her likeness for wearing black clothing. By the time she was 16, she struggled to emotionally connect with others. She has expressed in previous interviews that she never felt comfortable being hugged, even by her mother.
When she was a teenager, she had already experimented with every drug possible, even heroin. She soon found an emotional release in self-harm and thought about committing suicide at 19 and 22 years-old. She found a new sense of stability when she adopted her first son, Maddox.
4. Underwent Double Mastectomy:
Cancer is never an easy illness to deal with, much less knowing you carry the gene in your DNA. Jolie made headlines when she announced she would have a double mastectomy. Doctors informed her in 2013, that she carried the gene that could possibly lead to her developing breast cancer. She had an 87% chance due to a defective BRCA1 gene.
Her mother also had the defective gene and had breast cancer and died from ovarian cancer. Jolie's grandmother also passed away from ovarian cancer. After surgery, her chances diminished to only a 5% chance. She later underwent salpingo-oophorectomy to prevent her possibility of ovarian cancer.
3. She Has Been Married Three Times:
If you're a fan of the late 90's drama/cyber films, then you would be a fan of the film Hackers (1995) starring Angelina Jolie and Jonny Lee Miller. What some may not have realized is that Miller and Jolie were once married. In 1996, Jolie eloped with Miller. In true Angelina Jolie style, she wore a white t-shirt and leather pants. She even wrote his name in her own blood on the back of her shirt.
2. Former Goodwill Ambassador And Dedicate Philanthropist:
After seeing the effects of the humanitarian crisis while filming Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Jolie got invested in humanitarian work. She was a former UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador. Over the years, she has done over 40 field missions around the world. In 2012, she was promoted to the rank of Special Envoy to High Commissioner António Guterres and has done many missions to meet refugees around the world.
Jolie has also been an advocate and contributed to children's education around the world. She has opened schools and facilities in Kenya and Cambodia. She has opened children's medical centers to aid and educate children with HIV. Jolie has advocated and contributed to foreign policies to eradicate sexual violence in war zones. She has won many awards and recognition for her dedicated work and her philanthropic contributions.

It's no secret that Angelina Jolie Has a fascination with death. She has explained thinking about death has her appreciate life more. Her fascination with death started at an early age. When she was a teen she attended the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute.
After only two years of attendance, she dropped out to pursue her real interest. No, it wasn't to be a doctor or a journalist. It was to pursue a career as an undertaker or funeral director. She left acting school to study embalming. She later went back to acting after breaking up with her boyfriend.
