How much weight did you lose/gain during a lockdown?

Hey everyone…I'm gonna mention how I lost 40 kgs in 7 months.

So this journey started when my weight peaked at a 105kgs. I measured it on my birthday and decided that losing this weight is probably the best gift that I can get for myself.

I didn't start hitting the gym right away. Instead, I decided to start building up some stamina first because I was one hell of a couch potato who would run for 10 seconds and then rest for an hour or so to recover from that run. Initially, I started by completing five rounds of the park near my house. 4 and a half rounds of that park count to a kilometre. I still wasn't losing weight since I'd walk for 25 minutes and then go and goble up food like an animal.

From here I realised that just walking won't do anything unless I improve my diet. So after I improved my diet, I saw a SIGNIFICANT change in my weight. I lost around 3.5 kilos in just a week. Of course the rate at which I was losing my weight started going down since it's easier to lose weight when you're severely overweight but when you start getting closer to your ideal weight, then it gets tougher to lose weight.

After tons of setbacks, mood swings, food cravings, thoughts of giving the fu** up, hard work, running, dieting, etc, I was able to bring my weight down from 105 kgs to 65 kgs!!!

I couldn't believe it myself that I had achieved such a big target. Tbh it really feels like I had started this just a month ago.

These are the ones from January 2019 when I used to weigh around 100 kgs. I don't have any pics of my 105 kg self since……well it's kinda obvious lol. Even in these photos, I wasn't posing willingly.

Now….the ones which I took yesterday. 65kgs

So here's the diet which I followed:

1•Breakfast: 1 cup of green tea and two slices of bread with peanut butter. After that I'd go and walk 5 Kilometres.

2•Lunch: Pulses along with two chapatis (dal, roti) and salad.

3•Snacks: Milk without sugar and 3–4 digestive biscuits with it.

Then I do some exercises for height and abs which take around 45 minutes. After that 1 cup of green tea to fasten up the fat burning process.

4•Dinner: 2 egg whites. 1 whole.

Then run for 3 rounds and walk for 2 rounds to regain my breath.Using this pattern, I complete 45 rounds of the park which makes it 10 kilometres.

This also helped me to increase my height by two and a half inches. Was 5′7″ and now 5′9.5″

Don't forget to give yourself a break on Sundays and eat WHATEVER you like because you also need to treat yourself for every successful week that you complete 😁.
