           Best Diet

With the obsession around weight loss giving birth to fascinating regimes every now and then, the military diet seems to be the latest addition. While some say the diet has been around for quite some time, the buzz around it seems to be catching up only now.

But what is this diet all about?

Well, the military diet is a three-day-long fitness routine that involves the participant to follow a strict eating schedule comprising healthy items such as tuna, broccoli, banana alongside things like cheddar cheese, peanut butter and vanilla ice cream.

"Hold on, how can one eat cheese, peanut butter and vanilla ice cream while on a diet," we can almost hear you say.

According to 3daymilitarydiet.net, the idea behind the military diet is not to starve yourself, but to consume food in ideal and somewhat balanced quantities.

One is allowed to consume green beans.

"The 3 day military diet is not simply about calories or nutritional value, it's about the chemical balance of each food," reads a section on 3daymilitarydiet.net.

So, is the diet really effective? If Facebook user Piyu Roy is to believed then the answer would be, yes.

Bananas are also a part of the military diet.

As per a recent post by Roy, she resorted to the military diet and lost almost four kilos by the end of its third day! That's right. Four kilos in three days.

"I followed it with utmost dedication and due to an injured knee I was unable to do any kind of workout. By the end of the 2nd day I had lost 3kgs and at the end of the 3rd day I was 3.8kgs down. It was a fun diet and the only difficulty I faced was having just 3 meals in the whole day," Roy wrote as she goes on to mention the difficulty she faced in limiting her food intake.

"The sportswoman in me, who's used to having multiple meals a days, every 2hrs, from the age of 6, found that tough," she wrote.

So, for those who want to lose weight on an urgent basis without indulging in crash diets or strenuous exercises, a three-day-long military diet might just be the blessing you'd been waiting for.
