What are your top 5 rules of studying?

These are not my rules and I am not recommending or suggesting anybody to follow them.

  1. Wake up at 5AM every day, so that I can have more than 15 hours of time to do whatever I want rest of the day.
  2. Run minimum 5-6 km every day, so that I can be flexible at all time.
  3. Come back from run and do minimum 100 push-ups, so that I get physically fit.
  4. Meditate for minimum 10 minutes, so that I can control my mind and myself in any situation.
  5. Never skip breakfast, so that I don’t have to starve after all the physical activities.
  6. Reach office before 8:30 AM, so that I don’t have to deal with the traffic.
  7. Don’t break any traffic rules, so that I won’t cause any harm to others (People who drive on footpath troubles pedestrians.).
  8. Don’t have Facebook or Instagram accounts, so that I don’t waste my time stalking others’ life.
  9. Spend minimum one hour to learn a programming language, as I am not from a computer science background.
  10. Devote some time to read books, so that I can enhance my knowledge.
  11. Watch a lot of English movies/ discussions, so that I can improve my English speaking.
  12. Write whenever possible, so that I can improve my writing skills.
  13. Never talk behind anyone’s back, it doesn’t help me get anything.
  14. Don’t bargain with roadside vendors, because their life depends on that.
  15. When walking on the road, I watch each and every good car passes by, so that I’ll avoid looking at girls.
  16. Wave and smile at every kid I come across, so that I can forget all the negativity in my mind.
  17. Speak to everyone in Kannada, even if I am at pizza hut or KFC. Because Kannada is the official language of Bengaluru and I take pride speaking that. (Will shift to English if they don’t know Kannada).
  18. Participate in each and every activity (Sports, Cultural, technical) organized at office whether I am good at it or not. How can you be a winner if you don’t participate?
  19. I give my seat to an elder in bus. Because god has given me the strength to stand for a while.
  20. Don’t shout/ speak louder in public places or when in lifts. It’s a good etiquette you know.
  21. Push the chair back to its original place after having lunch. It’s another good etiquette.
  22. Upvote every answer I like on Quora. Each and every appreciation is the motivation for the writers to write more quality content.
  23. And I say Thanks to each and everybody who help me even if it’s a very small act of kindness, just like I am thanking you all now for reading my post. Showing gratitude is indeed a very good habit.

First of all, Thank you all for the appreciation you are showing. If you think this is a good content for you to read and implement in life, then I will be writing more and look forward for your comments for those answers as well.

Above mentioned points are my daily routine and there is nothing special about following it. If I can follow these, anyone can follow it. Give it a try it’ll surely improve your lifestyle.

For the people who are saying I am just faking to get the upvotes and comments: I don’t see there is any need for impressing people lying about anything and it’s not impossible to wake up at 5 AM and do what ever I told I am doing. you try it for yourself and let me know.

Edit2: People are asking me about doing 100 Pushups a day.

I don’t do 100 pushups in a single go and I cannot do it also. Nowadays I am doing 150 in 5 sets of 30 pushups.

Hope that clarifies most of your doubts.

  1. Organised workspace = Organised mind.
  2. Sleep 7–9 hours a night, consistently.
  3. Answer past exam questions, especially the difficult ones.
  4. Focus on understanding the subject, not memorising the facts.
  5. Be kind to yourself. Take a break.
