What are the most uplifting ironies?

Some of you may remember this guy:

Robert C Norris. He was the studly Marlboro man who appeared in all of the cigarette commercials.

The funny thing? He never actually smoked. He even quit being the spokesman after years of great sponsorship money, citing that it made him feel guilty because he was setting a bad example.

The beauty in all this? He got to live to 90 years old as a result.
