For conservatives in America, what are some things you actually think Europe does better than America?

Tell me if you’ve had this experience.

You’re on a road trip, and you decided to stop for your supper. Naturally, you get off the interstate and go to a local McDonald’s for a burger and some fries. But first, you head to the back for a pit stop.

The restrooms are easily accessible and very clean. The sink has clearly been recently washed and even the paper towel dispenser is neat.

You’re also not alone in the restroom. Another guy’s there too, and he is tall. He’s gotta be well past 6′5″ and looks like he was probably scouted for basketball before he even hit high school. Big deal though, right? It’s just a tall guy.

Anyway, most of the stalls are full, except for the one right next to the urinals. In fact, it’s right next to the tall guy.

And suddenly it’s awkward.

That little ol’ American stall suddenly seems pretty short. And inadequate.

Now you know that guy probably isn’t a creep who’s about to peek into your stall…but you just can’t help feeling uncomfortable. Should you wait until he’s done then go in, or should you just suck it up and go now?

Quickly you make a choice and shuffle into the stall, trying to not think about Mr. Lebron James right next to you.

Now, how bout if you were in Europe? You’re on a road trip, you stop at a restaurant, and when you head to the bathrooms and find a tall guy there… you can head into stalls like this:

Finally. Privacy.

I’ll never understand the skimpiness of American bathroom stalls. Why do we need a 14-inch gap on the bottom and walls that are often several feet from the ceiling? Just to save money?

I’d say this is an area where Europe has us squarely beat.
