Indonesia has Komodo dragon which exist in komodo island.👇
Komodo is the largest lizard in the world with its size range from 2–3m,in some case,even more and its weighting up to 100kg.
It is the top predator in their habitat.The large bodies and its terrible reputation as extremely dangerous animal making komodo as one of the most famous animals in the world.
However,the actual habitat of the Komodo dragon has shrunk due to human activities.The IUCN institute has includes the Komodo dragon as a species that is vulnerable to extinction.
Komodo dragons is protected by the Indonesian government and we has made the Komodo National Park for them.

We have a unique monkey that has a big nose called Bekantan or Proboscis monkey.
Its native to Kalimantan island or Borneo in English,their habitat is in mangrove forests and on coastal areas of the island.
This monkey has become a mascot for our National Theme park called Dunia fantasi (Fantasy world) in Jakarta.👇
Fun fact: Not all indonesian aware of the existence of this monkey,especially the one who grow up in big cities,they only know it as “Dufan” monkey shorten of dunia fantasi.
They were surprised when i told them,it is based on our real monkey thus they were so amazed looking at Bekantan picture and said,wow!Dufan monkey is real!🤣👇
And we also have the smallest bear in the world called Sun bear.This bear is the smallest of the eight bear species in the world.
This bear is a typical fauna of Bengkulu province in Sumatra island and considered as the symboll of the province itself.
The bear are conserved in a protected forest in Balikpapan city,Borneo island in Indonesia.👇
Sunbear are so adorable,they love peanut butter,coconut and even Durian! Unfortunately,in some case this bear keep getting killed by local,they were surprised when saw this bear on their garden with its long tongue sticking out and scary claws.
Some local beat it to death,the government has made a concern protection of the sun bear regarding the case.👇

Maybe you heard of this one before,the Orang utan which mean jungle man in English,they live in Sumatra island and Kalimantan island in Indonesia.
Some said this monkey resemblences human alot.
They have high intelegence and live longer than other monkeys,they can live up to 30 years.Some research even said they have closest DNA to human than other primates.
Some Orangutan even enjoy chewing gum and there was a case a man throw orangutan a cigarette and it take it,inhale it and smoking like human,it is very wrong though.
One orangutan in Indonesia even got sended to Rehab center to cure its smoking habit given by naughty visitors.

This is Tarsius monkey also called Mentilin. It exist in Bangka island and Belitung island in Indonesia. It size is so small range from 12 to 15 cm,Tarsius sometimes called the smallest primate in the world.Since it has big eyes,some local call it as ghost monkey.👇
We have Javan Rhinoceros ( Rhinoceros Sundaicus),the rhinos was common and spread across Asia but now it become an endangered species and may become extinct thus they collected the remaining Rhinos in a National park in Java island.
We have Ujung Kulon National Park in west Java island for the poor rhinos,it is supported by UNESCO and declared as Natural World Heritage Site.
However their number seems too low,perhaps its only around 50–75 now,I'm not sure you may check it yourself if interested.
The Rhino also called one horned Rhino in Indonesia and it become a Mascot for Asian Games 2018.👇
Another endangered species,this is Sumatran tiger (Panthera tigris sumatrae).This tiger comes from the island of Sumatra in Indonesia.
its population are predicted more or less than 192 tigers according to the data from 2015.
loss of habitat uncontrollably, reduced numbers of prey species and also illegal hunting are the major cause even though the tiger is protected by law.👇

More of endangered species,”prehistoric”mammal look alike known as Babirusa(Babyrousa celebensis)or Pig-deer in English.
This pig alike animal is native to Sulawesi island and the other islands around it into Maluku island in Indonesia.
It has two pairs of large tusk which actually its enlarged canine teeth,just like a sabretooth tiger.The upper canines penetrate the top of its snouts and curving back into its forehead.
Its existence is being concern because of deforestation and illegal hunting.👇
Here comes the “Selfie monkey” AKA Sulawesi crested macaque (Macaca Nigra) or the black ape.
It lives in northeastern tip of Sulawesi island in Indonesia.
This one is a funny monkey,in 2011,British nature photographer David Slater visit Tangkoko in Sulawesi island and somehow,one of the monkey took his camera and did Selfies lots of time!
And guess what?that monkey were given name Naruto🤣
Slater then published a book and he put the selfie photos of “Naruto” which later was known as Selfie monkey.
This provoked an advocacy group for animal rights, which was incorporated in the PETA to represent Naruto, filing a copyright suit for the selfie. PETA assumed Naruto's copyright had been violated.
In January 2016,a federal district judge in San francisco decided that Naruto was not human, so he could not file a lawsuit. Slater's side contributed 25% of his income from the photo to be given to Tangkoko nature in Sulawesi.

Actually there's many more but these are something i think the most unique of all of them.
Especially Komodo dragon,you can travel to Komodo island in Indonesia and see them in the wild,just do not approach them without a local guide permission.
There are cases where tourists got attacked by the dragon and we don't want it to be happened again.
They are extremely dangerous,their saliva is full of bacterias,its poisonous.
They even capable to attack and eat a cow for their meal.👇

We also have a big flower called Rafflesia Arnoldii in Bengkulu Province,Sumatra island.
It is the biggest flower in the world and called Bunga bangkai by local,mean Corpse flower since it smells like a rotten human corpse they said.👇
